Garden Organic is delighted to have received funding from the Daylesford Foundation to run the Growing Enterprise project at Ryton Gardens.

Growing Enterprise is a 2 year project that uses the therapeutic benefits of horticulture to support young people (13- 19) with special educational needs (SEN), and those with severe emotional and behavioural problems. It will do this by engaging them in the development of a horticultural enterprise.

The project will establish a dedicated growing space at Ryton Gardens for project participants, developing a small enterprise to sell garden crafts and produce.

Participants will have supported involvement at every stage, helping to design and construct the project area, tend crops, make products and cook healthy food.

Any schools, pupils or parents interested in participating or finding out more about the project should contact Colette Bond Head of Education  We are recruiting for a part time education officer to run this project for more details visit this link at the Garden Organic website.
